Øya 2006

Jeg ble inspirert av Mira som skrev et fint innlegg om det å huske dager. Hun stilte spørsmålet Hva er ditt svar om jeg spør deg: hva husker du fra 2006? Det fikk meg til å tenke. 2006 virker jo ikke så lenge siden, men det er faktisk hele seks år siden nå. Hva gjorde jeg i 2006?

Sommeren 2006 husker jeg ikke alt for mye fra, bortsett fra at jeg hadde alt for mange følelser for en liten kropp og skravlet i timesvis (hver dag) med beste Helene. Planene for fremtiden var store og overveldende og de skulle planlegges ned i hver minste detalj. Men én dag skiller seg ut i minnet som en av de virkelig gode dagene. Det var en dag i midten av august og det var en dag jeg var på Øyafestivalen, egentlig med pappa, men mest med fineste Katrine. Jeg møtte en venn av henne, en venn som sa han hørte på Feist og smilte hver gang jeg sa noe teit. Det gikk ikke an å ikke bli sjarmert. Jeg turte ikke si noe til Katrine, og det gikk mange måneder før vi endelig snakket om det. Denne gutten var Tobias, selvfølgelig. I år, seks år etter, skal vi se Feist spille på Øyafestivalen, sammen!

Another year is coming to an end, and it really has been a good one.

I had lazy days in the park, even before the grass got green.

We moved into our new apartment…

… which led to new and exciting projects. Unfortunately I never got as much painting done as I had imagined.

We hurried up getting the apartment ready for a dinner party with Tobias’ family on May 17th.

We had a couple of good weekends at the cabin, but not enough.

Because in July we went to the States, and I got this handsome fella to myself for three whole weeks.

Well, we did meet quite a few squirrels…

…and a couple of really good friends, but they helped me spy on the Grey family reunion, so that’s okay.

After a couple of weeks back in Oslo I started studying at HiOA.

And got awesome new friends <3

I also spent more time making dinner

and got a complete hang up on duck confit. Yummy!!

I am excited to welcome the new year with a lot of hopes and expectations. There are already a few things I am excited about, like these:

Pip, Eva and Enzo’s baby, getting born in February

Getting to see Linn more after the summer (right?)

Hopefully going to England for easter.

Starting up something new and exciting (annoying, right?)

Planning the wedding

I have a few new year’s resolutions too, one of them being “start to like sushi”.

The pictures come from google searches and blogs through months of collecting inspiration, which is why I have no sources.

It’s 600 days until we are supposed to be getting married. I am reading wedding blogs like crazy and can’t for the life of me understand how all this amazingness can be packed into just one day. I love the dreaming and the planning though. I’m glad I don’t have to make any decisions yet.

Eye shadow is usually made from a powder and mica, but can also be found in liquid, pencil, or mousse form.

I dropped my favorite eye shadow, and it broke. Sad, isn’t it? Oh well, a good excuse to find a new favorite.

The summer is long gone, and I am one of many who get depressed when the hours of daylight gets shorter every day. I can not think of a better way to cure this depression than to have some wonderful friends over for tapas. Last saturday I invited a few of my new classmates over, and hours of cooking was all forgotten when three lovely ladies rang the doorbell. The evening went by so very quickly, but we managed to take some pictures for once:)

Even though the wedding is almost two years away, I am enjoying a little wedding planning when I have some spare time. My computer is filled with pretty pictures, there are wedding magazines on the coffee table and my mind is spinning. I’ve been trying to put together a color palette, and I think I have come up with the right one for us. We are planning a DIY and DIT (do it together) wedding, so I can chose our colors without having the colors of the venue in mind.What do you think?

I have gotten some reactions on the fact that I am planning this wedding two years in advance. The thing is that neither T or I like stressing about things, and if we are going to do this our way we need some time preparing. And there’s the fact that I just can not help myself.

There are an array of study skills, which may tackle the process of organising and taking in new information, retaining information, or dealing with assessments.
